Description

The life of the town of Roda de Ter has always been closely bound up with the River Ter.

Ruta Literària Miquel Martí i Pol

Throughout its history various groups of settlers have occupied the banks of the river, as has been documented at the Iberian and medieval archaeological site at L’Esquerda.

The industrialisation of the town also owed its origins to the use of the waterpower of the Ter, particularly in the very important development of the textile industry.
