The ball del ciri is danced in the Plaça Fra Bernadí in Manlleu on 18/01 at 1pm, after the three circuits of the town made by the cavalcade as part of the Festa del Tonis - a festival dedicated to Saint Anthony.
The boys dance in a hat and the girls hold a candle (hence the name) and a branch of boxwood. The small standard bearer then recites a verse.
