Description

Vista general de St Hipòlit
The town of Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà stands some 536 metres above sea level, and occupies practically the whole of the municipality that bears its name.

The town is formed of a series of steeply sloping narrow streets that converge in a number of small squares near the church.

The first growth of the town was along the tracks and bridlepaths that led to the neighbouring villages, while in recent years the whole of the area between the old town and the Vic-Puigcerdà main road has been developed with more regular streets.

The town has grown during the last hundred years with new housing and industry.
