The earliest reference to a chapel dedicated to the Mare de Déu de Bellmunt dates from 1219.

Standing 1,246 metres above sea level, this hermitage offers one of the one of the most outstanding panoramic views of the comarca of Osona and the southern part of Ripollès.

The sanctuary and the guest house , together with the restaurant , stand on the bare rock.
