The gardens of Can Parrella and of L’Espona are some of the most antique gardens in Catalonia. The Can Parrella gardens, from the end of the 19th century, are set up on two levels. The upper level made of cake like parterres while the lower level is reserved for horticulture.
The L’Espona gardens are said to have been designed by the architect Raimon Duran i Reynals.
They are a magnificent example of a mix between leisure and vegetable gardens. The visit will saunter through this emblematic part of Torelló, and we will discover seventeen of our most important indigenous and imported species, and we will discuss their natural and architectonic value.
